Vegan Chocolate Sauce Recipe
This chocolate sauce has become our family’s favourite over the summer. I made it up to go with our waffle recipe and since then we have been making it and popping it on anything and everything we can think of. It’s quick and easy, with only two ingredients, and adds an extra layer of decadence to whatever dessert you use it in.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of coconut cream from a tin of coconut milk
- 1/2 cup of vegan cocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Method
- Scoop 1 cup of cocnut cream off the top of a tin of coconut milk. I can usually get one cup from one tin.
- Heat the cream until hot but not boiling and then add your chocolate.
- Stir until the chocolate is all melted and leave to cool (if not using for fondue). It will continue to thicken when cooling.

Chocolate Fondue
This is the adult’s favourite way to eat this sauce. Nice and warm with lots of chopped seasonal fruit to dunk in it. The children are big fans of this too though they like the next option even more…
Ice cream sundaes with chocolate sauce
This is an absolutely great way to use this sauce. Ice cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkles make children and adults alike grin with pleasure. We like to put a big dollop of sauce in the bottom, add a bit too much ice cream and then top with more sauce and lots of sprinkles.
